Help! @Twitter gave our @April account away!
Update:
@April, @AprilFilms @AHAMEDIA are all back up! Thank you so much to our wonderful mentor @raincoaster and @TwitterCanada for all their great help! ♥ ♥
Update:
@April and @AprilFilms are now back online. Just waiting for everything to “recalibrate” once it was compromised.
Thank you @Twitter Just waiting for @AHAMEDIA to be reactivated!
Update:
@AprilFilms, @AHAMEDIA, @April are now inactive – Hopefully @Twitter is working on fixing the problem that is affecting millions of other accounts that were hacked!
——
Imagine our surprise when logging into our @April to post about something very special.. a 1 year anniversary special of something very exciting when we found out that we COULD NOT log into it!! 😦
So we tried to input our email as a means of verification and still we were not able to access it!
We noticed with great shock that our @April account that we had registered since 2008, 8 years ago was suddenly taken over by someone, something!!!!
Immediately we informed @Twitter what happened!!
Our precious @April account was given away! HELP!!!
Apparently we were sent a reactivation email to resurrect our @April @Twitter account on Aug 6 2016 but we never authorized it at all! Our @April account was never dormant and was previously accessed only two weeks ago approximately. (We have been busy filming out in the streets)
Puzzled by this, we turned to our great mentor in social media @raincoaster for advice and we are very much hoping that we will get our @April @twitter handle back. We registered our @April @Twitter handle back in 2008 and we used our @April @twitter handle to showcase our hard work in community engagement of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Help! @Twitter gave our @April account away!
“Dear @Twitter, Please give us back our @April @Twitter account back! Thank you!”
Please share and Retweet!
Thank you!!!!
Raincoaster – Lorraine Murphy at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar – Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver
April Smith of AHA MEDIA had the most exquisite dinner with very dear friend and mentor Raincoaster – Lorraine Murphy at the very exclusive Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar in the 5-star Sutton Place Hotel in downtown Vancouver.
Our drinks were Rosé wine and Scotch, while we admired the dinner menu.
Jess, our server was delightful and attentive while guiding us through our fresh seafood choices.
We began with the highly recommended crispy chicken wings created with fish sauce caramel, sambal chilli, and tangly refreshing pickled vegetables was a lovely way to start this sumptuous dinner. Thanks to Raj Taneja for his fantastic foodie endorsement of how good the crispy chicken wings were!
Feasting on the Seafood Tower for two was a true decadent and savory delight with wild sidestripe shrimp ceviche, albacore tuna poke, read island mussel escabèche, dungeness crab louie, snow crab legs, wild shrimp, with local oysters on ice topping a most impressive 2 tier seafood platter!
Love the welcoming entrance tiles.

A baby grand piano underneath a beautiful light sculputure.
A very seafood focused dinner menu with a wide variety of palate pleasing plates!
Seafood tower for the two! So divinely delicious!

A sip of Rosé wine before dining on an oyster!
First tier with Oysters on the Half Shell with classic mignonette, horseradish and cocktail sauce.
Second tier with wild sidestripe shrimp ceviche, albacore tuna poke, read island mussel escabèche, dungeness crab louie and snow crab legs.
A look at the albacore tuna poke and read island mussel escabèche.
A perfect wild shrimp!
Flavourful read island mussel escabèche.
Amazing wild sidestripe shrimp ceviche.
Marvelous morsels of albacore tuna poke.
Taro root and tortilla chips to scoop up every last delicious bite!
We noted with great joy our lemon wrapped in Muslin to hold in the pips.
Raincoaster – Lorraine Murphy remarked “It’s like a Lemon Cozy!”
Our evening at the Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar will always be remembered fondly.
We can’t wait to come back and enjoy more delicious meals!
Shebeen Club Reunion Night in Vancouver – One Night Only on Thurs Aug 22, 2013
Lorraine Murphy, Robert Shaer, Chris Mathieson, Salim Jiwa and Dennis E. Bolen
From the Shebeen Club Reunion Facebook event page:
More below…From the blog post:
We’re BACK, BITCHES!
That’s right, Vangroover’s classiest literary gathering returns for One Night Only. Or will commit to One Night Only. You know how that goes.
This upcoming Thursday, August 22nd at 6pm, let’s meet up in the Shebeen and talk about old times and new times and, as ever, bitch about getting paid on time. If you’ve published a book since the last time we got together, bring some and we’ll let you show off. If you’ve gotten a new writing/editing/publishing gig since we last met, boast and we will applaud you. If you’ve created an entire spoken word opera based on the Kardashians, please, in the name of Wagner, keep it to yourself.
Who’s welcome? Everyone except hostile drunks. If you’ve never been to the Shebeen Club before, well, it’s a group for practicing literati, whether they’re making a living at it or not. Writers, editors, publishers, book illustrators, printers, journalists, bloggers, poets, and not a few reprobates. They add a certain style to the mix.
Dress code: Dress writerly. Nobody knows what that means so you can’t get it wrong!
Pay for what you order, and don’t forget to tip nicely. We don’t want them getting annoyed with us after eight years, do we?
For the Facebook-dependent, the event is listed,
and I quite frankly got so excited I blew $50 on Facebook ads. What can I say, it’s been a couple of years since our last get-together, and I lost my head.Directions: the Shebeen is a “secret” pub, so it’s not going to have a giant neon sign out front. Go to the Irish Heather, 210 Carrall Street at the foot of Gastown in Maple Tree Square almost kitty-corner to Chill Winston. Go into the Irish Heather and straight through and out the back door. Turn right, because if you don’t you will walk smack into a brick wall. The door to the Shebeen is just a little ways on, on your left. The Menu: no dinner special this time, but the menu is constantly changing and always high-quality. Don’t show up early, because they won’t be open yet!
Happy Birthday to Raincoaster – Lorraine Murphy!!!
