Lunch at Carnegie Centre at Main and Hastings is a City of Vancouver Community Centre where meals are always delicious and very affordable at $1.75 – a price that anyone, especially those living in the inner city of Vancouver Downtown Eastside can afford.

AHA MEDIA co-facilitated Up Words writing group on retreat to Deep Cove and sees a bear!

AHA MEDIA went to Deep Cove in North Van, along with members of Up Words writing group to co-facilitate a “media making” retreat in the woods. During the trip, we got to express our different writing styles and even got to see a bear!

Vancouver Blogathon is an event on July 25 where local bloggers blog for charity for 24 hours straight! The event will be held at Workspace in Gastown, where bloggers can share ideas and keep the momentum going during the course of a whole day and night.
During the blogathon, participating bloggers are to publish posts every half hour for 24 hours straight.. that’s 48 posts in total! Along the way they are encouraged to collect pledges (using the Blogathon.org pledge system) in order to raise funds for the non-profit of their choice.
