An abundance of bread given away!

If there is one great thing about living in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside – you will never completely go hungry! There is always an abundance of bread giving away from the various food lines and churches around our area.

In this photo, Chris holds a bag of bread in the lobby of the Ford Building at Main and Hastings in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.  The rest of the bags of bread sit on top of the mailboxes waiting for other residents to pick them up.

Introducing AHA MEDIA’s newest intern – Johnathan Jagt!  You may have seen him on the site singing Lady Is a Tramp.  Due to his huge involvement in our area and and eagerness to learn how to do our type of  Vancouver Downtown Eastside Community engagements – we have invited him to be a part of our team! 🙂 We will be peer training with him our knowledge base while we grow together as AHA MEDIA 🙂

AHA MEDIA has a deep affinity for our area, the Vancouver Downtown Eastside as we work and live here!

We want to see the positives such as cultural and technological advancement events and functions get highlighted while reporting on the ongoing changes that can affect us directly such as Poverty, Homelessness and Gentrification.  We are very much close to the ground level on many topics and situations through our new media and social media channels.

We are glad for our strong networks though the online and community communities.

Thanks to everyone ! 🙂
