Hendrik’s tribute to trees at Pigeon Park in Vancouver Downtown Eastside (DTES)
In this video, Hendrik Beune, Director of AHA MEDIA talks about how some trees in Pigeon Park aren’t sprouting new leaves as he feels the trees know that their time is passing ( There is an ongoing Carrall Street greenway project)
So in honor of the trees, Hendrik gives them tobacco ( which is a traditonal Westcoast Aboriginal/Native custom of honor )
