It’s Election Day in BC – Polls now open

Polls are open from 8:00am until 8:00pm.

Below is a photo of  Carole James, Leader of the BC NDP and friends at the Firehall Arts Centre @ 280 East Cordova Street, Thursday, May 7th 11:00am in speaking about  Support the Arts and Take Back Your BCCarole James

” Ms. James took her campaign to a busy Vancouver SkyTrain station and later ventured into the Downtown Eastside. Although she has talked about homelessness throughout the campaign, the event in the epicentre of the country’s poorest neighbourhood had nothing to do with the people lying on the streets nearby. Instead, she spoke inside the Firehall Arts Centre, where she pledged that her government would boost funding for the arts.

“It’s a smart investment in tough economic times,” she said, estimating that a tax dollar invested in culture will be paid back “tenfold.”

Plouffe shares with the audience the election story and the process of developing a winning social media strategy that inspired millions to engage in the Obama campaign.

About kk+

SXSW VideobloggingMy name is Kris Krug. This is my personal website. I blog here, post photographs, link to my friends, talk about things I’m interested in and generally just use it as an R & D lab for my personal slice of the internet.

I’m a fashion, music, and portraits photographer, technologist and author based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am currently working on Raincity Studios, a full service interactive agency and I’m tinkering with a few other projects too including a 2010 Vancouver Olympics community site, a fashion, portrait and music photography studio and a top secret science project/fanboy site dedicated to my favorite TV show.

I’ve also recently started a Vancouver photoshoot locations directory and a Vancouver photographers directory. Please go create a free account and add to this resources.

Thanks for checking this place out and for reading this far. I hope you found whatever you came looking for. You should drop me a quick note… I’d love to hear from you. Use this form to email me or find me as ‘kriskrug’ on Skype.

AHA MEDIA thanks Kris Krug very much and looks forward to all his advice! 🙂
