AHA MEDIA sees a Big LCD Screen TV at Carnegie Centre, a City of Vancouver Owned Community Centre in Vancouver Downtown Eastside

Hendrik Beune, Director of AHA MEDIA mentions that Carnegie Centre plans to show announcements on the TV.

It is very interesting to see Carnegie Centre embrace electronics and technology as a way to provide information for the Downtown Eastside!

AHA MEDIA at the Opening of the Vancouver City Centre – Canada Line Station

AHA MEDIA was very pleased to attend the Opening of the Vancouver City Centre – Canada Line Station located at Georgia and Granville Streets.

Lineups stretched around the block and the wait time for the Free Skytrain ride to Richmond were more than 2 1/2 hours!!

In this video, Today, August 17, 2009 is a historical day! The Canada Line is open to the public and goes between Vancouver and Richmond

The line makes Vancouver the only city in Canada to provide a high speed link between its airport and downtown core

While walking down 100 Block of East Hastings, AHA MEDIA is pleased to discover an Apple Tree growing in front of the Blue Eagle Cafe.

The Vancouver Downtown Eastside is Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood – we at AHA MEDIA are always pleased to find treasures in our area to write about. We enjoy filming and creating positive community conversations!

Below are photos of Hendrik Beune, Director of AHA MEDIA’ standing by the tree. With Hendrik’s degree in Biology and sharp eye for observation, we were pleased that a full grown Apple Tree bearing minature fruits was only half a block from the corner of Main and Hastings!
