AHA MEDIA is very happy to announce that we will be learning to becoming better at  livestreaming from Jean Hebert of Mobile Muse http://www.clicknoise.net

The livestreaming  software we use is calle Livecast from Mobile Muse http://www.mobilemuse.ca

As members of AHA MEDIA have been working as Livestreaming Camera Operators for Fearless City Mobile http://www.fearlesscity.ca/mobile and W2 http://www.creativetechnology.org we are pleased to learn more about the development side of the software Livecast.

In this photo, Jean Hebert is teaching Peter Davies and Hendrik Beune of AHA MEDIA how to livestream more effectively 🙂

AHA MEDIA in keeping up wth our learning and progression of our skills from livestreaming the events at Vancouver Digital Week, we have built a separate and dedicated site at http://www.ahalivestream.wordpress.com  for future events.

We have created a twitter account to live twitter and associate with our livestream site ( we aim to give a real life account of our experiences)

@Live_stream or www.twitter.com/Live_stream

Our Flickr is http://www.flickr.com/photos/AHALivestream

Our Youtube is http://www.youtube.com/AHALivestream

The livestreaming software that we are working with is called Livecast from Mobile Muse http://www.mobilemuse.ca

Livestreaming is an amazing tool  for community interaction and engagement as we are able to broadcast in REAL time  our experiences to a mobile screen at an event or even onto the internet where you can watch anywhere! 🙂

In this video, Hendrik Beune and Peter Davies demonstrate livestreaming 🙂

This was filmed by April Smith of AHA MEDIA on a Nokia N95 mobile cameraphone. April is passionate and skilled in making Nokia films by exploring mobile media production through the camera lens of a cellphone. AHA MEDIA visits La Casa Gelato and uses Twitter to tell about the experience in real time in Vancouver

May 16, 2009 Leave a comment

AHA MEDIA took trip to La Casa Gelato near Commercial Drive in Vancouver http://www.lacasagelato.com/.

La Casa 1

We wanted to treat ourselves after working very hard at Vancouver Digital Week doing livestreaming, live twitter, mobile new media photography and videography with our social media connections.

#PopVox09 11

Keeping with our new lessons from the week, we decided to keep using Twitter, a fantastic social media tool to keep interacting with each other and our community. We have a very strong desire to stay connected and keep learning 🙂

We picked La Casa Gelato as it was near our area of the Vancouver Downtown Eastside ( DTES). Our purpose was two fold – to eat some great ice cream and to use “Twitter” to “tweet” or give live updates on our dining experience. 🙂

La Casa 2

We created on Twitter a new account: @Tweets_and_Eats

We combined the two words of  “Tweets and Eats ” to make a new word called “Tweats” and built a new and separate Food Review site for our dining experiences in Vancouver

Here is a photo of Peter Davies trying to “tweet and eat” at the exact same time.

Please follow us on Twitter @Tweets_and_Eats and our new site at http://www.tweats.wordpress.com

AHA MEDIA aims to continually be progressing in their knowledge so that may do better mobile new media production 🙂
