AHA MEDIA has Salmon Dinner at Carnegie Centre in Vancouver Downtown Eastside (DTES)
AHA MEDIA had a delicious well balanced meal of a lemon dill salmon dinner including dessert for the sum of only $3.00 at Carnegie Centre Cafeteria.
Carnegie Centre is a community centre operated by the City of Vancouver at the corner of Main and Hastings in Vancouver Downtown Eastside (DTES)

In this photo, Ken Glofcheskie of AHA MEDIA awaits his turn to receive a well-prepared salmon dinner from Carnegie Kitchen staff

With the addition of a bottle of grapefruit juice, the total cost of the meal below was only $4.00! Much more nutritious and healthy than other options in the area. Very affordable for Vancouver Downtown Eastside residents as Carnegie provides meals that are well-balanced for any diet! 🙂

The Salmon Dinner at Carnegie was well liked judging by others enjoying their dinners in the Cafeteria. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the yukon gold potatoes were just right and the addition of dill to the coleslaw was a very nice touch 🙂

Carnegie Centre Cafeteria is open from 9 am – 8pm
Breakfast and Lunch is $1.75
Dinner is $3.00

Hendrik Beune, Director of AHA MEDIA gets a new chair!
In the next series of photos, Hendrik Beune utilizes his new Director’s chair to engage with the Vancouver DTES community in an artistic and very mobile way.
As we started from Carnegie Centre at Main and Hasting in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside ( DTES), it was quite something to see the varioius reactions on people’s faces as Hendrik rolled by them on his mobile office chair. The range of emotions ranged from suprised smiles, shocking glances, warm hearted encouragements to mere indifferences as people walked around him.
We are glad that Hendrik has his European savoir faire as he made he way down to one of our community office spaces! 🙂 We created interactive and mobile art in our area !
We, at AHA MEDIA are about creating community engagements and memories that last a long time! 🙂

What a blessing to be able to hear such amazing music and see fine musicianship during an afternoon jam at Carnegie Centre!
It’s wonderful to be able to discover true talent and part of Canada’s Music Royalty right in our own neighborhood! We are truly lucky !! 🙂
