A celebration of healthy living and nutrition in the Downtown Eastside, from hair cuts to HIV testing, from blood pressure to pedal-powered smoothies

The Alley Health Fair wants to increase awareness of healthy living possibilities among DTES residents. Be sure to visit them on Thursday, Sept 15 10AM-2PM

After the Fair, VSSL will host Street Soccer starting at 2:30pm at Oppenheimer Park

Harm Reduction 101

This course includes 6 seminars: Each seminar counts as one credit. Classes run every Friday on a six week cycle so if you miss one you can catch it the next time. After finishing all 6 credits, you will receive a certificate of completion.

September 9: Nasal Naloxone

September 16: Overdose Response

September 23: Reduction of Infection/Basic Hygiene

September 30: Needle Distribution

October 7: CPR Training

October 14: HIV/Aids/Hep C: The Skinny

Fridays @ 10am

The LifeSkills Centre Music Recording Arts Program in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside is in desperate need of support!

Equipment needed: Microphone Stands, Shure 57’s cables, drums and drum hardware…please email coco@phs.ca if you have any equipment to donate.

Charitable receipts are available for those who donate equipment with a substantial monetary value
