AHA MEDIA is very proud to meet Maxima May Forslund – Energy Healing: Reiki Master, Kukui Lani with Randi Winter in Vancouver
What does “Maxima” mean? In Latin, it means “miracle worker”. If you break the name down, “Max” means greatest and “Ima” means embracing everything. She is self employed and owns a couple of businesses in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Maxima is working on a number of projects which she hopes to complete most of them in 2010. One project she is working on is to help special people who have a passion to help others in traditional and holistic ways. Maxima’s project.
Lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 45 years and currently live in beautiful Hawaii (the Big Island). Became one of the first women Technical Support and still provide computer training. Now an experienced energy healer. Have had the opportunity to provide Self-Care and energy healing workshops which includes the indigenous Grandmothers (special healers) from around the world. Able to provide long distance healing. Also in the process of sharing healers how to provide Group Healings.
Maxima Forslund’s Specialties:
Energy Healing: Reiki Master, Kukui Lani (a Hawaiian Heavenly Healing), Healing Touch, Language of Light
Kukui Lani which flows through Maxima during healings is Hawaiian for Heavenly Light. You can feel the flow of pure love energy take over your body and provide relief for spiritual, emotional and physical difficulties during a full healing session. The energy is known to create a wonderful sense of peace and wellness. Similar to Reiki but stronger.

Maxima was a Client Support Director for a software company, under Star Systems, managing Technical Support, Documentation, Quality Assurance, and Consumer Services departments. She was Technical Support/Analyst for 10 years with the County of Marin where she had the opportunity to train their staff from the clerical administration to the department heads and Board of Supervisors. Maxima was Local Area Network (LAN) certified and a LAN Administrator with the County of Marin for many years.
She has trained many people from all walks of life at all different levels, and groups from different companies small and large such as Primary Payments Systems, Inc. (Star Systems), Levi Strauss & Co., Estee Lauder Companies, the County of Marin, Koret of California, etc. Training and helping people is Maxima’s passion. As a Reiki Master, she also has a passion to help heal people.

Montreal-born actor Omari Newton is a professional actor whose work can be seen on television, film and stage. He is fluently bilingual in both French and English and has performed in both languages. His stage work in Québec has earned him a number of favorable reviews and awards. Some career highlights include a best supporting actor nomination for his work in the Centaur Theatre’s production of Joe Penhal’s Blue Orange(soirée des masques). The play also went on to win best English production. Now a resident of Vancouver, Omari recently appeared in Joe Calarco’s critically acclaimed Shakespeare’s R & J and on an episode of the Spike TV series Blade.

At the heart of the City’s Great Beginnings Initiative is the desire to go back to its roots and give each of the founding neighborhoods something to talk about. In one such community, the DTES Story Box Project highlights its rich and storied cultural diversity through oral and written tradition. Unique object/artifact boxes illustrate stories from various voices which are intermingled to create a new and visceral experience. The Festival offers great new beginnings for some multi-faceted dialogue.
Participating Organisations are:
Vancouver Society of Storytelling; Portland Hotel Society; Raycam Community Centre; W2 Culture and Media Centre; Musqueum Nation Writers Group; DTES Women’s Writing Group; Carnegie Centre’s Thursday Writing Group; Native Court Workers, vancouver moving theatre
