“Oppenheimer Park has a rich history and is the hub of many community events and celebrations, as well as being the backyard for local residents. Now it’s an even more beautiful green space,” says Park Board Commissioner Sarah Blyth.

The upgrades to the park, which cost approximately $2.5-million, include a new field house and washrooms, universally accessible walkways, children’s playground, sports court with a basketball hoop, horseshoe pitch, patio spaces, picnic tables and seating areas, central lawn area, trees and flowers, sub-surface drainage and a new irrigation system.
