About kk+

SXSW VideobloggingMy name is Kris Krug. This is my personal website. I blog here, post photographs, link to my friends, talk about things I’m interested in and generally just use it as an R & D lab for my personal slice of the internet.

I’m a fashion, music, and portraits photographer, technologist and author based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am currently working on Raincity Studios, a full service interactive agency and I’m tinkering with a few other projects too including a 2010 Vancouver Olympics community site, a fashion, portrait and music photography studio and a top secret science project/fanboy site dedicated to my favorite TV show.

I’ve also recently started a Vancouver photoshoot locations directory and a Vancouver photographers directory. Please go create a free account and add to this resources.

Thanks for checking this place out and for reading this far. I hope you found whatever you came looking for. You should drop me a quick note… I’d love to hear from you. Use this form to email me or find me as ‘kriskrug’ on Skype.

AHA MEDIA thanks Kris Krug very much and looks forward to all his advice! 🙂

AHA MEDIA encourages everyone to go out and hear Bob Petterson and other local Vancouver musicians play on May 23rd 🙂

Bob Petterson says ” I’m fortunate that I get to work with some amazing local musicians and that two terrific local singer/songwriters are willing to make use of my modest talent on bass guitar.

The headliner for the show is The Mike Webster Band. More information available here: http://www.mikewebster.moonfruit.com/

Mike’s set will largely feature his original songs along with a handful of diverse, and surprising, covers. Magnetic West features all-original music by Randall T. Carpenter who also happens to be my compatriot, and the lead guitarist, in The Mike Webster Band.

Main thing is come out and have some fun! ” 🙂

AHA MEDIA views Jeremy Crowle’s amazing artwork

.Born in 1978 and raised on the west coast of Canada, Jeremy Crowle is a self taught painter and photographer. After invested much of his youth exploring the details and emotions of human relationship in his work, his early 20’s moved him to Vancouver to pursue a career in Fine Art. Crowle took up typography at this time as a means to incorporate direct messaging in his paintings in 2000, naturally becoming more interested in the principals of contemporary design and architecture. In 2001 he focused primarily on typography and design while still fulfilling commissioned works.

Crowle went on to offer architectural consulting, Art Direction and Photography services for a number of creative agencies internationally, and in 2007 co-founded Change Creative Group; a small illustration studio focusing on modern high end illustration and typeography. Crowle’s love for photography inspires a unique and emotive style that remains constant, while subjects depicted in the work are diverse. A simple palette and monochromatic imagery are often used to celebrate a subjects complex posture, as well as simple emotional qualities.

Jeremy Crowle lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
